Musical Events
Research has shown that there is a part of the long-term memory that stores music. Many people with dementia can remember the words of old songs and a group singalong, or listening to music, can stir old memories and create a feel-good factor.
At the Club, we have regular entertainers, both professional and amateurs, but who are used to intereacting with elderly people, particularly those with a dementia. The members thoroughly enjoy listening and singing along, some of them even have a wee dance. Have a look at our Picture Gallery
